So I needed to change my inquiry. I held on to my original one for so long since I really believed the best version of myself would pursue that in earnest. What I found was that pursuing another area of significant learning on top of our cohort course load was unrealistic for my own mental and academic health. For now, I put a pin in my journey towards learning ASL in the hopes that when I have more time and space and mental capacity I can revisit it full-tilt.

Before I leave this topic, I just wanted to share one video on ASL that I absolutely loved. When you have a spare minute, I think it’s really worth the watch.

So onto my new trajectory! Throughout the term, I have been pursuing arts and crafts as a form of decompression. I typically am a drawer, but I have been exploring a number of new art forms and loving the freedom that comes with trying all these new tasks. My new inquiry has evolved to be getting out of my comfort zone with art and trying new art forms.
