The Pacific School of Innovation & Inquiry (PSII) was a place that really captured my attention. As someone who has always claimed that I would only ever work in a public school, it was surprising to find myself considering the benefits of independent and private approaches. PSII uses inquiry based learning to the maximum degree.

My top likes of PSII:

  1.  Grading at END of learning journey, not during. Marking early on doesn’t reflect where they are going
  2.  Neutral decor to limit overstimulation. My only caveat is that I as teacher will definitely be into more cosy-ness and pretty-mess
  3. Students have collaborative projects with their teachers, rather than using assembly line instruction
